LOVINGKINDNESS Wrap

£180.00

DESCRIPTION

A shorter, wider size than my usual scarves, this piece is designed more as a wrap or shawl (or even a baby blanket). The symmetrical checked pattern is shaded with two tones of purple in pale extra-chunky Merino wool and a soft blend of dark purple alpaca and Blue-faced Leicester. There is also a narrow black stripe in undyed Welsh Mountain wool.

The wrap is finished with fluffy hand-knotted tassels.

SIZING

Size (excluding tassels) 135cm/53" long, 47cm/18.5" wide.

Size (including tassels) 150cm/59" long, 47cm/18.5" wide.

Weight; 366g/13oz

COMPOSITION & CARE

Merino wool, alpaca/Blue-faced Leicester wool blend, and black Welsh Mountain wool.

Hand-wash in lukewarm water with wool detergent. To dry, lay flat on a large towel and roll up like a Swiss roll, squeezing gently. Alternatively, gently machine wash on a cold wool cycle with a small amount of wool detergent. Natural dry on a clothes airer or washing line. DO NOT TUMBLE DRY.

YARN STORY

The alpaca/Blue-faced Leicester blend wool is vintage. The pale purple extra-chunky Merino has been hand-dyed. The wool which makes up the soft black stripe is undyed Black Welsh Mountain wool from a farm very local to me, barely ten miles away, in Weardale itself. It came from a rescue sheep called “Little Girl”.
